The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Gazi University Faculty of Health Sciences, in collaboration with the KEPAN Association, organized an event titled "Academic Meeting with Dietitian Candidates."

Prof. Dr. Melda Türkoğlu, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Adult Nutrition Support Unit at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, and her team, participated as speakers in the event held on March 13, 2026, in classroom AS203 of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Türkoğlu and her team shared their knowledge and experience on clinical nutrition, nutritional support in intensive care patients, and current practices with the students. The event focused particularly on nutritional support processes in a hospital setting, a multidisciplinary approach, and the clinical role of dietitians. Students had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with field experience and gained significant insights that will contribute to their professional development.

During the question-and-answer session of the program, students had the opportunity to directly ask the expert about topics they were curious about, creating an interactive academic environment.

Faculty members and staff of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics emphasized that such events play an important role in developing students' professional visions and thanked Prof. Dr. Melda Türkoğlu and the KEPAN Association for their contributions.
