The opening of the 2026-2027 academic year for the  Faculty of Health Sciences—incorporating a general assembly and an academic robe-vesting ceremony—was held as part of the celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of our university’s founding.

During the ceremony, a certificate of appreciation was presented to our Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, which ranked first among all departments within the Faculty of Health Sciences for its contributions toward the unit-level goals established in alignment with the 2025 Research University Indicators.

The certificate was accepted on behalf of the department by the Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Prof. Dr. Nilüfer ACAR TEK.

We extend our gratitude to all our academic and administrative staff who contributed to this achievement, and we wish our department continued success in its scientific research and academic endeavors.
