An event titled "The Role of the Turkish Dietitians Association in Coordinating Dietitians in Disasters: Current Situation, Deficiencies, Action Plan" was organized within the scope of the "Conferences on Mass Feeding Services in Disasters II". The event was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semra Navruz Varlı, and the speaker was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hande Mortaş, a faculty member of our department and the General Secretary of the Turkish Dietitians Association. The conference addressed the coordination role of dietitians in the planning and implementation of mass feeding services in disasters and emergencies, the current work of the Turkish Dietitians Association, structural and practical deficiencies encountered in the field, and action plans developed to address these deficiencies. Current approaches to the continuity of nutrition services, food security, and the protection of vulnerable groups in disaster processes were shared with the participants. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semra NAVRUZ VARLI presented the findings to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hande Mortaş. Hande MORTAŞ was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a plaque.
